Novid20
Novid20
From March 2020 to June 2022, we operated as Novid20, a team of 20 working to fight the COVID pandemic with innovative software solutions. Our focus was on keeping schools and kindergartens open through large-scale testing.
In those two years, we built deep digital expertise. Instead of returning to old jobs, we pivoted into Vienna's first digital product studio — rebranding from Novid20 to TWO in March 2023.
Our biggest projects
Bavaria School Testing
Novid20 provided simple PCR testing to over 3,300 schools in Bavaria, twice a week. Children used cotton swabs in class, which were pooled and analysed in one of nine laboratories. The process was safe, fast, and cost-efficient.
Pooling Center
Together with Novogenia and healthcare partners, we built a large-scale COVID test infrastructure. The pooling center could process up to 1.2 million PCR tests daily, at under €5 per test — affordable and highly efficient.
Caritas Care System
With the Vienna Biocenter and Labordatenbank.at, we set up a testing system for Caritas. Employees used PCR gargle tests several times a week, helping protect nursing home residents through early detection and prevention.
